The problem

The pattern we see on every first call.

Across East Sussex, from Eastbourne to Rye, the same problem keeps coming up. The business is good. The website is not pulling its weight.

01
Pain point

Your website has not kept pace with the business

It was right for where you were when it was built, but you have grown, changed your offer, or raised your prices, and the site still tells the old story. New visitors form their first impression from something that no longer reflects what you actually do, and you are forever explaining the gap in person instead of letting the site do the work.

02
Pain point

You are competing across a whole county, not one town

An East Sussex business is rarely fighting for attention on one high street. You are up against competitors in Brighton, Eastbourne, and beyond, many with bigger marketing budgets and slicker sites. If your website does not make the case quickly and clearly, the enquiry goes to whoever looked more convincing in the first ten seconds.

03
Pain point

You do not show up where the searches happen

Whether someone searches in Bexhill, Lewes, or Battle, your pages need to be structured so search engines understand what you do and where you do it. Most small-business sites are not. The content is thin, the structure is muddled, and the result is that good local demand quietly flows to better-organised competitors.

04
Pain point

A bigger agency feels remote and slow

The agencies pitching county-wide work tend to be in a city, charge accordingly, and run long timelines with account managers between you and the people doing the work. For an owner-run East Sussex business, that distance is exactly the wrong thing. You want senior people who are close, fast, and accountable.

How we fix it

The same method, pointed at Hastings.

Strategy first.

Then twenty-one days.

We run from a studio in Hastings and work across the whole of East Sussex, and the engagement is the same wherever you are: twenty-one days, fixed fee, both of us on it from start to finish.

We start with a strategy day, in person where the distance allows and remote where it does not, mapping where the business needs to be in three years and what the website has to do to get you there. Then we design and build in a fast, hand-coded stack with a proper content system attached, structured for local search and quick on every device.

Because we are a two-person studio rather than an agency, the senior partners who sell you the work are the ones who make it, every day. That keeps the work honest and the timeline tight, whether you are in Hastings, Eastbourne, Lewes, or anywhere between. On day twenty-one the site is live and you own all of it, code and content alike.

Questions

Straight answers, no sales call required.

The things people ask.

01Do you work across the whole of East Sussex?
Yes. The studio is in Hastings, but we work with businesses throughout East Sussex, including Bexhill, Eastbourne, Rye, Lewes, and Battle. Most engagements run remotely with one in-person strategy day, held at our studio or yours.
02How much does a website cost?
A fixed fee from £4,995 + VAT, covering strategy, brand, and a hand-coded website. You know the figure before we start. Larger or e-commerce builds are quoted separately, with the same fixed-fee discipline.
03How long does it take?
Twenty-one days from the strategy session to a live website. We hold to it because the fixed window is the product, not a stretch target.
04Will the site help me rank in my town?
We build every site to be technically sound for local SEO: clean structure, fast loading, clear page hierarchy, and analytics set up from day one. We do not promise page-one rankings in three weeks, but we give you the right foundations and a clear plan for what to do next.
05Can you build something bigger than five pages?
Yes. The 21-day engagement covers a five-page site. For larger builds, e-commerce, or phased rollouts, we quote a bespoke engagement up to around £14,995, using the same Method and the same fixed-fee discipline.
On the ground

Why being local is more than a postcode.

Hastings based.

Properly local.

Our studio is on Robertson Street in Hastings, and East Sussex is home ground. We know the towns, the seasonal rhythms of trading here, and the kinds of customers a business in this part of the county is trying to reach.

Cotswold Commando, Nicola Jones, and Melissa White are all examples of the range we cover: a coaching brand built from scratch, an artist with a shop and a commercial strategy, and a heritage muralist taken online. Different businesses, same approach, and a studio that is a short drive away rather than a city and an account manager removed.
