Who we are
whisk.digital is a trading name of Pinpoint Studio Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10784053). We are a two-person studio – Greg Pinhorn and Fliss Pinhorn. We are our own data controllers, which means if you have a question about any data we hold, you can email Fliss directly at privacy@whisk.digital. You won’t be redirected to a legal team, because we don’t have one.
Data we collect
We only collect data you give us directly, in one of these ways:
- Booking a strategy call:your name, email, and optionally a short note in the pre-call field. Held in Cal.com and forwarded to Greg and Fliss’s inboxes.
- Email correspondence: your email address and whatever you write to us. Held in Gmail.
- Newsletter subscriptions: your email address only. Held in Beehiiv.
- Active projects: contact information, invoicing details, project assets you share with us. Held in Notion, Gmail, Stripe, and secure cloud storage.
- Cookies: a small set of first-party analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. No third-party trackers. No advertising cookies.
What we don’t collect
We don’t run advertising pixels. We don’t integrate with Facebook, TikTok, or LinkedIn’s tracking products. We don’t buy data from third parties to enrich profiles. We don’t sell, rent, or share your data with any party we haven’t explicitly named in this document.
How long we keep it
Project records and invoicing data are kept for seven years from the end of the engagement – the statutory minimum for UK small-business accounting and tax. Email correspondence is kept until deletion is requested. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. You can request deletion of any data we hold about you at any time by emailing privacy@whisk.digital; we’ll act within 30 days and confirm when it’s done.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Correct any data that’s wrong.
- Request deletion (the ‘right to be forgotten’).
- Object to processing on certain grounds.
- Request your data in a portable format.
- Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe we’ve handled your data incorrectly.
All requests go to privacy@whisk.digital. We respond within 30 days.
Tools we rely on
The tools we use to run the business process some of your data as sub-processors. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Cal.com – strategy call booking
- Gmail (Google Workspace) – email
- Stripe – invoicing and payments
- Notion – project workspaces
- Beehiiv – newsletter
- Vercel – site hosting
- Sanity – content management for case studies
We don’t use any AI tool that trains on your data. We use AI (including Claude and similar) to help produce the work we ship to you, but with tools configured so your data is not retained or used to train models.
Cookies
This site uses cookies for two things:
- Essential: remembering your navigation within the site and your consent choices.
- Analytics: a first-party analytics tool (Plausible) that measures pageviews and referrers without tracking individuals. No personal data is collected.
You can decline analytics cookies at any time via the cookie banner or your browser settings. Essential cookies cannot be disabled because they’re required for the site to work.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the ‘Last updated’ date at the top of the page and announce changes in the next Small Studio Notes newsletter. Material changes are notified separately by email to active clients.
